The Ortiz family began selling regional goods in Paysandú. Before there was a brand, there was a family space for learning the craft, understanding materials and listening to every customer.

The craft crosses the river

2015

Production expanded to a new shore in Colón, Entre Ríos. The catalog grew to include thermoses, materas and direct sales, while keeping the work personal and every finish carefully considered.

2019

The project renewed its name and the way it presented itself. MateArte brought tradition and design together in recognizable pieces, with more options to give, personalize and make your own.
